Ruth Jean Morel

Our dear mother, Ruth Jean Morel (Huelsman), age 91, passed away peacefully November 11, after a lovely evening out with family and friends.

Beloved wife of the late Edward  for 61 years. Loving mother of Edward Jr. (Susan), Mark (Kristin), Michael (Heidi). Cherished grandmother of Joseph (Kate), Michael (Carly), Matthew (Kaitlyn), Robert (Deanna) and Daniel.  Great-grandmother of Benjamin, William, Lyla, Raina, Riley and Joseph.

Ruth was born to Joseph and Evelyn Huelsman in Louisville, KY on August 4, 1932.  Ruth attended catholic school and trained to be an x-Ray technician after graduating from high school.  She met her husband, Ed when he was stationed at Fort Knox.  She moved to Cleveland after marrying Ed in June 1954. They moved to Willowick shortly after and raised their family.  She worked for many years as an x-ray technician with a local doctor.  Ruth enjoyed entertaining, cooking, travel, gardening and golf.

She loved her family and dear friends.  She had a great sense of humor and was loved by many.  She was an active member of the  “Pensioneers” and the Cleveland “Slovenian Club”.

Mass of Christian burial at 11am on Tuesday November 28, 2023 at St. Noel’s Catholic Church in Willoughby.  Interment All Souls Cemetery, Chardon. Family will receive family and friends at the luncheon following interment at St. Noel’s Banquet Center.
