Ralph E. Schnacke

Age 92, of Broadview Heights, OH passed away peacefully to be with the Lord on 04/13/2020. Loving husband of 65 years to Barbara (nee Devine) who preceded him in death on August 25, 2015. Dear son of Arthur and Eleanore (nee Ventker) Schnacke and brothers Howard and Donald Schnacke (all deceased).  Ralph served in the U.S. Navy just prior to the end of World War II.    He was a true craftsman and excellent mason by trade which eventually led him to his own company Schnacke Construction, Inc. 1962 – 1972. He took his talents to Ideal Builders and Supply Company where he retired in 1992. Ralph and Barb enjoyed a full life together with the many long-time friendships formed since their early school years. They were avid golfers, enjoyed boating at East Harbor and spent winters in Sarasota, FL.  Dearly loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed by his daughters, Diane (John) Borys of Richfield, OH and Sharon (John) Wilson of Lexington, KY.  Grandfather of Matthew (Audrey) Wilson, Jason (Melissa) Steadley, Dean (Grace) Steadley,  Jonathon (Jennell) Borys, and Michelle Borys. Great grandfather of Leila, Ethan, Jenevieve, Elijah, Lily and baby Emma due in late May. A private graveside service will be held at Lakewood Park Cemetery on April 21, 2020 where his late wife Barbara cremains will be interned together.  In lieu of flowers, if you wish donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or a charity of your choice.
