Karen Louise Hulse

Karen Louise Hulse (nee Parrish) passed peacefully at home on April 26, 2019 at the age of 78. Born on September 17, 1940 in Stow, Ohio to Wm. David and Loretta (Hinkle) Parrish. Karen spent her early years in Stow. The family later moved to Brecksville where in 1958 she graduated from Brecksville High School. Karen married John C. Hulse on March 11, 1967 in Broadview Heights, Ohio. They were happily married for 52 years.  Karen was a life member of the PTA and served as President on local and state levels. She also served on the Parma City School Board. Karen retired from H&R Block after over 20 years of service.  She was an active member in the BBHHS alumni organization and delighted in helping plan her class reunion activities. Karen also enjoyed travel, Cleveland Indians baseball, and her grandchildren. Karen was preceded in death by her parents Dave & Loretta Parrish of Brecksville, OH and her dear brother Dave (Patti) Parrish of Orange, CA. Karen is survived by her husband John Hulse of Parma; her children, Deborah (Alan) Kochems of Brecksville, Daniel (Rosa) Hulse of North Olmsted, and Katherine (Bob) White of Parma; her grandchildren, Kayla (Mark) Griffith, John Kochems, Jessica Kochems, Jenna White, Kathryn White, Abigail White, and Mark White; her great-grandsons, Joshua and Aiden Griffith; and her nieces.
