Wallace E. “Wally” Servey of Broadview Hts in his 89th year passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on June 20, 2013. A native farm boy of Tazewell, Tennessee, Wally served his country in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Army Air Corp where he piloted the B-17. He met and married his Catherine I. (Kay) Carson (deceased), his beloved wife of 68 years, and moved to Cleveland Ohio where he began his career as an operating engineer for Local 18 until the age 62. Long standing members of the Brecksville United Methodist Church, Kay and Wally will be remembered as kind, giving people after God’s heart who provided for their families needs and happiness. Wally will be remembered by his friends as a great golfer, a competitive bowler, and a skilled poker player. His family celebrates his life. Wally is survived by his four children Jo-Ann (Thomas) Colopy of Raleigh NC, Jerry (Susan) Marilyn (Joe) Christian, and Wendy (Liz) of New Mexico. Grandfather of Christine (Mike) Murray, Jonathan, Michael (Monica), James, David, Joseph (Michelle), Jessica and Timothy Colopy, Bridgette (deceased), David (deceased), Mary Kay (Jeff) Jeffries, and Paul Servey, Graham (Julie Baciak, and Erin (Jim) Travaglieante. Great grandfather of 11. The family thanks the staff of Southwest Hospice for the wonderful care they provided Kay and Wally.
