Stanley C. Lobaza, 87, went to be with the Lord on January 5, 2018 after a short battle with cancer.  Stan was born on June 30, 1930 in New York City to the late Felix and Helen Lobaza.  After returning with his family to Poland where his late brother James (Donna) Lobaza was born, his family settled in Cleveland, Ohio in the 1940’s where he lived the rest of his days. Stanley is survived by his wife of 63 years Loretta and his children Cindy (Tim) Marinelli of Smithfield, Virginia, Noreen (Jack) Rotar of Concord, Ohio and Gary (Laura) Lobaza of Scottsdale, Arizona, eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.  Stan was the proprietor of Union Auto Service where he, his brother and father provided auto collision repair service for consumers on the near east side of Cleveland.  He was a skilled metal craftsman who could do everything from fix a dent to breathe new life into a “total loss” turning a wreck into a reliable mode of transportation for he and his family. Stan enjoyed fishing, a good polka and playing the harmonica which he loved using to entertain his family, friends and to muse his grandchildren while babysitting.  He served in the military in Europe and faithfully kept in touch with his fellow veterans from his time in the U.S. Army.  Stan graduated from Lincoln High School where he enjoyed playing sports.  In recent days he would lament that Lincoln High School was gone.   However, his years there provided him with friendships that lasted throughout his life. Memorial donations may be made in his name to:  Seasons of Life Hospice, 9511 W. Pleasant Valley Rd, Cleveland, OH 44130.VISITATION Thursday, January 11 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the DONALD A.
