Simo Petkovic, age 58, Cherished father of Mirko "Miski". Dear son of Mirko and Desanka  Petkovic (both deceased). Compassionate nephew of Mihajlo and Milojka (dec.) Markovic. Aunts Dara (dec.), Milanka (dec.) and uncle Dimitrije (dec.) all of Serbia. Loving Kum of countless. Beloved cousin of the Markovic and Matic families. With many friends and family in the US, Canada, Serbia and Ozren, Republic of Srpska. Very proud son of a Chetnik, Simo dedicated his life to St Sava. Past President of St Sava Serbian Orthodox Church.  Longtime, multi-term President of S.S.K Karadjordje. Founder of "Udri Banda", "Sloboda" and "Cleveland Serbs" bands, Simo sought to bring the Serbian diaspora together across the continent with his musical talents. Simo would entertain guests at hundreds of weddings, christenings, picnics, dances, soccer tournaments and festivals across the US and Canada. Longtime supporter of St. Mark’s Serbian Orthodox Monastery. Simo was known for his unbelievable grit, unrelentless fight and genuine soul.  Simo would often refer St Sava on W. Wallings Road as "our piece of Serbia." Only one word describes this man who epitomized 2151. Legend.

SERVICES WILL BE HELD ON SATURDAY, JANUARY 15 AT 12:15 PM AT ST. SAVA SERBIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH, 2151 W. Wallings Road.  V. Rev. Mijoljub Matic officiating.
