March 12, 1986 – March 9, 2021

Sarah Jean Cartwright (Williams) went to Heaven on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 surrounded by her loving family in her Strongsville home.  She battled cervical cancer heroically for over two years with determination that inspired all of those around her.

Sarah is survived by three amazing children, Alex Bocian, age 12, Hailey Cartwright, age 7, Logan Cartwright age 4, and by her doting husband, Ralph Cartwright.

She was born in Berea, Ohio where she lived with her siblings, Heather Drolette (Williams) and Chris Williams and her mother, Wendy Williams (Lucas) who preceded her in death.

After attending Berea High School and Youngstown State University, Sarah found her professional calling as a General Manager at McDonalds where she employed discipline and dedication to get the most out of her crews.  She was passionate about her work and tirelessly directed her staff to make her stores among the best in the area.

Sarah’s passion for her job was only exceeded by her passion for her family.  She was extremely proud of her children and looked forward to seeing what they would achieve as they grew up.  Sarah enjoyed the outdoors while feeding the cows or riding the four-wheeler at her father, John Williams’, ranch, riding on the back of Ralph’s motorcycle, splashing around at Wallace Lake with the kids or speeding through the waves of Lake Erie on their boat.

Sarah was wise beyond her years and had a unique knack of connecting with people that made her respected professionally and admired by those in her personal life.  Even after her cancer diagnosis, she served as a constant beacon of hope for many, including her fellow patients, the medical professionals at Metro Health Medical Center, her friends at Judge Free Moms and various cervical cancer support groups.

Sarah leaves behind ever-lasting joyful memories with her family, her caring in-laws, her many nieces and nephews, and wonderful friends.

At Sarah’s wishes, a celebration of her life will occur on Friday, March 12 at DONALD A. FAULHABER FUNERAL HOME, 7915 Broadview Road (at Sprague)  from 4-7 pm.  FACE MASKS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING WILL BE OBSERVED.
