Ruth Ellen Knopp (nee Anderson), age 93, of Richfield, Ohio, passed away on November 1, 2022. She was born on July 13, 1929, and was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Melvin V. Knopp, her mother Erna Bonness Anderson, and father Samuel August Anderson. Beloved mother of Karl Knopp (Carol Kopp), Karen Butera (David), and Kathy Hayes (Christopher). Beloved grandmother of Ruth Szukala (Michael), Daniel Butera, Willem Ackermann (Abbie Enders), and Emma Butera. Beloved aunt, great-aunt and great-great aunt; dear friend to many.
She was an animal lover, voracious reader, and baseball fan. Her many interests included politics, history, art, and all things Norwegian. She delighted in dark chocolate, a good cup of coffee and spending time with her family. She was a 1947 graduate of Brecksville High School.
