Rose Marie Kecker

Rose Marie Kecker, age 89, Beloved daughter of George and Mary (both deceased).  Dear sister of the following deceased:  Mary (Vic) Hovorka, Ruth (Gordon) Long, Ida (John) Reho, and Josephine (Francis) McGough.

Loving aunt of Connie Reho, Judy (Al) Podrasky, Sr. Deborah Reho, MSC, John G. Reho (dec), Janis Hovorka, Victor Hovorka, John Hovorka (Joann),  Mary Scully, Don Hovorka (dec), George (Linda) Horvorka, Linda Lee Downs (dec)., Gordon Long (dec), Dennis Long (dec), Leslie Patrelakis (George-dec), Daniel Long, Daniel McGough (Denise), David McGough (Stephanie), Gary McGough (Julia), Lisa Cutter (Rob), and Christopher McGough.

Rose Marie loved being godmother to her seven godchildren:  George Hovorka, Leslie Patrelakis, John G. Reho (deceased), Gary McGough, Jonathan Podrasky, Connie Milbert, Paul Zdinak.  She also loved being an aunt to her 20 nieces and nephews and to their children and their children’s children.

Rose Marie was a graduate of Weir High School in Weirton, W. VA class of 1952.  She was employed as an executive secretary at both Weirton Steel Co. from 1952 to 1968 and Cardinal American Corporation in Cleveland Oh from 1968 to 2008.

Rose Marie requested in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Missionary Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, C/O Sr. Deborah Reho, MSC, 2811 Moyers Lane, Reading, PA 19605.

Rose Marie always said, “We are blessed with each other and I thank God for my family.”

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Basil Church, 8700 Brecksville Road, Brecksville, Ohio 44141 on Monday, September 23 at 10 AM.  PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. FRIENDS MAY CALL AT THE DONALD A. FAULHABER FUNERAL HOME, 7915 Broadview Road (at Sprague), Broadview Heights, Ohio 44147 on Sunday from 5-7 pm.  Interment All Saints Cemetery.
