Paunka Gmitric

Paunka Gmitric (née Pajic), age 77, of Parma, OH, and Naples, FL, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on January 1, 2025. A loving wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and dear friend to many, Paunka lived a life filled with kindness, joy, and unwavering faith.

She leaves behind her devoted husband of 59 years, Petar; her beloved children, Sava (Jennifer) and Lottie (Peter) Kraguljac; and her treasured grandchildren, Peter and Emily Gmitric, and Sammy, Sophia, and Luke Kraguljac, who were the light of her life. She is also survived by her dear sister Zlatica, niece Sofia Bojadzic (Verko), as well as many loving nieces, nephews, Kumovi, and a host of friends and family in both the United States and Serbia. She is preceded in death by her beloved sister Dušanka.

Paunka will be remembered for her boundless love, selflessness, and deep devotion to her family and faith. Her greatest joy was found in her role as a grandmother, cherishing every moment spent with her grandchildren. She took pride in creating a warm and welcoming home, where her love radiated to all who entered.

Her passion for flowers and gardening brought beauty to every corner of her home and yard, where she lovingly tended to vibrant blooms and lush greenery.

Paunka’s life was a testament to her unwavering positivity and commitment to helping others. She had a remarkable ability to uplift those around her and found beauty in life’s simplest moments. Her legacy of love, generosity, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

SERVICES WILL BE HELD ON MONDAY, JANUARY 6, 2025 AT 11 AM AT St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Cathedral, 6306 Broadview Road, Parma.  V. Rev. Dragoslav Kosic officiating.
