Paul Holobinko , age 89, of Broadview Heights, Ohio passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 10, 2020. The son of Metro and Anastasia Holobinko, Paul was raised in Wood, Pennsylvania. Beloved husband of 65 years to Rosemary (nee Salwan). Loving father of Janet, Paul David and George (Lynn Bucarich). Cherished Jidu of grandsons, Benjamin and Andrew. Survived by his loving sister, Helen (George) Ropchock and brother, Don (Carole) Holobinko and many loving nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his siblings, George, Ann (nee Kostyack), John, Michael, Frank, Charles, Stephen, Andrew, Peter, Joseph and William. Paul Holobinko was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. Following his service, he returned home to further his education, earning a master’s degree in science. Paul is a fondly remembered science teacher. While working for the Educational Research Council of America, he co-authored several books, including “Man and the Environment” and “You and the Environment: An Investigative Approach”. Paul was a Renaissance man with an inquisitive mind and a passion for knowledge. He spent hours in his wood working workshop creating exceptional furniture for his family and friends. Paul loved reading, science and nature. Most of all, he loved his family. Paul will be greatly missed. A memorial for Paul Holobinko will be held at a later date.
