Patricia Lee Wilson Clark
December 23, 1936 - August 25, 2023
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia Lee Wilson Clark, a beloved mother, loving wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, cherished aunt, and loyal friend. Pat passed away in her husband's arms on August 25, 2023, in Canal Fulton, Ohio.
Pat was born on December 23, 1936, in Ashtabula, Ohio, to Dale Frank Wilson and Mary Lavona Aronhalt. She was a loving sister to Kathleen Huttlinger (Frank, niece Mary). She graduated from Garfield Heights High School in 1954.
In her youth, Pat was briefly married to Terrance Hess, before a tragic accident took him from her. Despite the briefness of their union, it blessed her with the gift of motherhood with the birth of her daughter, Kerry Lynn Hess Clark Pawski (David).
Later in life, Pat found her soulmate in Russell Clark, and together they raised a large and loving family. For over 50 years, they showcased the beauty of marriage and set an awe-inspiring example for others to follow.
Pat was the cherished step-mother of Don (Julie), Keith, and Greg, and the adored bonus mom to Michael and Kathy. She was a doting grandmother to Layla (deceased), Derek, Kevin, Meghan, Nicole, Matthew, and Taylor, and a proud great-grandmother to Paige, Gavin, and Remington.
Pat was incredibly proud of her heritage which qualified her as a Daughter of the American Revolution and member of the Eastern Stars. She was actively involved in Rainbow Girls and her church (she had a beautiful, melodic voice) and devoted much of her time in service to others.
Pat inherited the infamous Aronhalt giggle, which could infectiously light up a room, and her fondness for off-color jokes endeared her to many. Pat enjoyed bus trips to the casino, solving puzzles in her sunroom, and the thrill of hunting for treasures at estate sales. Her Brecksville House rose bushes were awe-inspiring and often the buzz of local gardening groups. Pat & Russ’s home was a sanctuary to many, and their summer BBQs, featuring homegrown tomatoes, were often a place of celebration and refuge.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Pat’s name to the American Cancer Society or Ohio Boys Town.
