Olga Lazovich

At the age of 97 Olga Lazovich has peacefully fallen asleep in Christ and is re-united with her husband Zivko, daughter Vera, sister Ljubica, brother-in-law Vujo, sister Vera, brother-in-law Rade, and many other relatives and friends.  Olga, her late husband and late daughter were well known, loved and respected in the St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Cathedral congregation in Parma, Ohio as well as in the neighborhoods where they lived in Ohio and in Canada.  Olga had many friends and family all over the world with whom she spoke and corresponded often.  After enduring the hardship of World War II and DP camps in Italy and Germany she and her husband immigrated to the United States where they worked hard to make a better life for themselves and their daughter.  When Olga’s sister who had immigrated to Canada earlier passed away Olga, her husband and daughter came to Canada.  Vera attended University with her cousin Milica while Olga and her husband worked to settle the estate.  Olga’s life was long and hard, but the greatest hardship was the loss of her daughter.  Olga had a great faith and was a long-time member of the Serbian Orthodox Church and the Circle of Serbian Sisters (Kolo Srpski Sestara). She donated a significant contribution to help with the restoration of the Church in Brestac, the place in Serbia from which she came.  She will surely be rewarded in Heaven. Vjecnaja Pamjat! Eternal Memory!   ALL SERVICES WILL BE HELD ON FRIDAY, AUGUST 9 AT 12 NOON AT ST. SAVA SERBIAN ORTHODOX CATHEDRAL, 6306 Broadview Road, Parma, Ohio.  V. Rev.
