Mae Goenak

Mae Goenak “All the days ordained for me were written in Your book before one of them came to be.” Psalm 139:16. Mae was born September 22, 1920 and died August 8, 2022, just about 6 weeks short of her 102nd birthday – a total of 37,210 days.

She was daughter of the late Arnold and Dorathea Gerdes; sister of Gaye Lempke (Harry), Dorothy Early (Gene), and John (Dorothy) (all deceased). Loving wife of George (deceased) and beloved mother of Sherri Granakis (Huck), Linda Paquette (James), Michael (deceased) and MaryAnn Chalmers (Brian). Beloved grandmother of Eric Granakis, Ty Granakis (Kristin), Cary Granakis, Amy Blaicher (Ted), Rachele Spencer (Scott), Paul Paquette (Karah), Sheena Kramer (Eric), Tara Cook (Michael), Meagan Begg (Josiah) and Melissa McDonough (Patrick). Beloved great-grandmother of Terin Moreau-Smith and Shaun Granakis; Lillian and Greyson Kramer; Jacob Cook, Verity Paquette, Charlotte and Caleb Begg.

She was the matriarch of our family, and a help and a joy to our lives. We are so grateful for you Mom, and so grateful that by the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord, this is not a ‘goodbye,’ but simply a ‘see you later.’ We will love you forever – every one of us.

SERVICES WILL BE HELD ON TUESDAY, AUGUST 16 AT Parma Heights Baptist Church, 8971 W. Ridgewood Road.  Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.

VISITATION AT THE DONALD A. FAULHABER FUNERAL HOME, 7915 Broadview Road (at Sprague)  on Monday, August 15  from 5-7 PM.
