Leonard “Len” Masek, Sr. was born in Cleveland, Ohio on July 11, 1928, the second of twin sons born to Yaro and Dorothy Masek. Immediately after graduation from John Adams High School in 1946 the brothers enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served together for 2 years. Leonard retired from Republic Steel. In 1983 after 32 years as a shift supervisor in the metallurgical coke plant. Leonard and his wife, Margaret were married in Cleveland, Ohio on April 14, 1951 and had a son, Leonard F., Jr. born October 27, 1954. Shortly after moving to Broadview Heights, OH in 1960, Leonard became a member of the Broadview Heights Fire Department where he retired as Fire Chief.. He was also a 55-plus year member of Theodore Breck Lodge 714 F. & A.M. Beloved husband of Margaret L. (nee Clark) (dec). Loving father of Leonard F. Masek, Jr. (Mary Lynn). Cherished grandfather of Tracie (Chris Edwards) and Megan. Twin brother of Lawrence J. (Carole). Uncle and great uncle. Retired Broadview Heights Fire Chief. US Marine Corps veteran. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Theodore Breck Lodge #714, F & A.M., PO Box 41390, Brecksville, 44141. FRIENDS MAY CALL AT THE DONALD A. FAULHABER FUNERAL HOME, 7915 Broadview Road (at Sprague) where services will be held on Saturday, January 25 at 10 am. Entombment Sunset Memorial Park.
