Lawrence, “Larry” Joseph Rogers of Parma, Ohio passed away in his home, peacefully on October 17, 2024 at 92 years old.

Larry was born to the late Louise Rogers(Kosar)as her only son in Cleveland, Ohio on March 7, 1932.

Larry enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. on May 05, 1952 and later graduated from the United States Marine Corp. Naval Air Technical Training Center in Jacksonville Florida October 03, 1952, fulfilling the role of an Aircraft Engine Mechanic and Aircraft Electrician. He was discharged a Corporal with honest and faithful service on May 4, 1955 and was authorized the Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. Larry went on to attend the Cleveland Engineering Institute, where he earned a certificate in Tool and Design on October 26, 1957.

Larry married Dolores Gordon on August 27, 1955 and their union delivered four children. During their 69 years of marriage Larry and Dolores enjoyed road trips together with their children and grandchildren as well as spending time at home, simply enjoying one another’s company.

Larry always had a passion for knowledge and frequently checked out reading materials from the Cuyahoga County Public Library to research computers, engines and design. He enjoyed spending spare time in the basement workshop of his home hand crafting his own wood working projects or enjoying his Lionel train collection. He was also an avid lover of classic film- especially John Wayne Westerns and the StarTrek Science Fiction series.

Larry leaves to cherish his loving memory, his beloved spouse Dolores Rogers and their 4 children: Mark Rogers(Barbara Rogers), Lynn Ranallo(Bob Ranallo), Larry Rogers(Augustina Rogers) and Debbie Fargo(Jack Fargo) as well as 15 grandchildren: Kerry Janidlo, Scott Rogers, Jeff Rogers, Brittany Rogers, Julie Rogers, Grace Fargo, Dalton Ranallo and Sierra Ranallo and Dylan Ranallo who preceded his death, Kaley Fargo, Michael Fargo, Jesus Leija, Marco Munoz, Esmeralda Munoz, Jose Munoz and 23 great grandchildren.
