Laurie was truly an angel. Whether you were a family member, a friend, a coworker, or the person sitting on the next stool in the bar, she made you feel special. She would proudly announce to everyone around you that you were her “New Best Friend.” We have all been so blessed to have her be a part of our lives.
She was beloved by all of her family and became a natural matriarch, keeping everyone together. Laurie relished hosting holidays, organizing family reunions, and attending any events her family participated in. The children especially loved her because she would always do something special for them like playing games, hiding presents, or doing crafts.
Her kindness was felt throughout our community in the many events and charitable organizations she worked tirelessly for. These are just a few of the organizations she was involved with:
· Applewood Center
· Western Reserve Junior Service League
· Forbes House
· St. Noel/St. James Meal Program
· Birthright
· Painesville Exchange Club
· Stacy’s Purple Daisy Foundation
Laurie was a shining light that we will never forget.
