Laura J. Rubes (nee Brown), 96, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2024. Laura was the beloved wife of the late Edward W. Rubes; the loving mother of Linda, Pamela, and Edward W. (Denise). Dear grandmother of Christopher Henrich, Scott (Taylor), Timothy, Sarah (Jesse Porter), and Kayla Rubes, daughter of Pamela. Great-grandmother of Lucy and Quinn Henrich and Waylon Porter, Dear daughter of the late Richard P. (Prentice) and Velma Seiberling Brown. Dear sister of the late Richard H. Brown. Dear aunt and friend of many.
Laura attended Sharon Center High School, Mount Union College and was a licensed practical nurse at University Hospital. She belonged to United Transportation Union for 17 years.

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, August 16 at 11:00 AM at Assumption Church, 9183 Broadview Road. Visitation at the church on Friday 10 AM until time of service
Interment Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date.
