Lawrence Ignatius Zwolinski, 81, of Strongsville, Ohio passed away from issues related to dementia on November 17, 2022.
Larry was born April 24, 1941 to Vitold and Alice Mary Zwolinski in Cleveland, Ohio.
After graduation from Brecksville High School in 1959, he served in the United States Navy until 1963. Following his Navy service, he was employed at Reuter Stokes in Warrensville, OH for over 40 years building radiation detectors. His coworkers said he could fix anything and he had more patience than anyone they’ve ever met.
He married Jean Marie Vithous in 1962 and together they raised four children– Lawrence Michael, Deborah Marie, Steven Christopher and Melissa Ann– in Strongsville, Ohio.
In May 1999, Jean and Larry suffered a tragic accident and Larry lovingly devoted the next 21 years to caring for his wife.
Larry was predeceased by his wife Jean (nee Vithous). He is survived by his children, Larry (Becky) Zwolinski of Evanston, IL, Debby (Paul) Moore of Taylors, SC, Steven Zwolinski of Strongsville, OH and Melissa (Bill) Jordan of Medina, OH; his grandchildren, Spencer (Jackie), Tristan, Celia, Cassondra, Troy, and Claire; and his great-grandchildren, Juniper, Amelia, and Everly. Dear brother of Susan Austin (David), Vitold “Anthony” Zwolinski (Pat), Mark Zwolinski (Rose), Christine Daley (Jay), and Laurene Matushevski (Jeff). Loving uncle and friend of many. US Navy veteran.
SERVICES WILL BE HELD ON WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 23 AT 11:00 AM AT THE DONALD A. FAULHABER FUNERAL HOME, 7915 Broadview Road (at Sprague). VISITATION WILL BE HELD ON TUESDAY AT THE FUNERAL HOME FROM 6-8 PM and on Wednesday 10:00 am until time of service. Interment North Royalton Cemetery
