ZIMMERMAN, John “Jack” age 89 passed away on July 1, 2024.  Beloved husband to +Honey married for 56 years.  Together they had ten children, Connie, +Peter, John (Sandra), Julie, +Jennifer, +Robert, +Edward, Raymond, Dennis (Kelly), and Michael (Julie), his grandchildren, Jason (Elizabeth), Brian, Kevin (Sarah), Dennis (Amanda), Raymond, Jennie, Jaclyn, Jessie, Samantha (Kelsey), Ethan, Olivia (Clay), Taylor (Deryk), Brandon and Cole; his great grandchildren, Robert, Keith, Kylie, Zachary, Alexander, Jaiden, Journey, Daniel, Jackson, Zander, Zane, Natalie, Edison, and Mila and his great great grandchild, Naomi.   Also surviving are his siblings, Edward Morgan, Jean Merkle and Ray Zimmerman and many nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by wife, Julia; sister, Judy Morgan; daughter, Jennifer; sons, Robert, Edward and Peter;  grandson, Robert; and son-in-law, Charles.

Together Jack and Honey started Dee-Jay Service Corp which is doing business as Bearing & Transmission Supply Co., back in 1967 in their dining room.  The business has grown and now resides in Macedonia, Ohio and is still thriving to this day being run by a few of their children.  Jack worked until the very end.  Bearing & Transmission is a supplier of industrial products.  Jack was known for his expertise in machinery and was actually a partner in building the machine that makes Phyllo Dough.  He had 70 plus years in the industrial supply industry working for many other companies before starting BTS.

Jack loved to play golf and bet everyone.  He was a fun, loving guy and if you played golf with him, you automatically had to play his favorite game, bingo, bango, bongo.  He was a good friend to many.

Family and friends will be received Sunday, July 7, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  at Faulhaber Funeral Home, 7915 Broadview Road, Broadview Heights, OH 44147.   Pomen at 7:30 pm.

Funeral service on Monday, July 8, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Innocent Orthodox Church, 8526 Usher Road, Olmsted Falls, OH 44138.

Visitation at the church on the day of Funeral from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.  Services by Fr. Peter Simko, Rector of St. Innocent Orthodox Church and his nephew, Fr. John Zdinak.

Interment at St. Theodosius Orthodox Cemetery, and meal (dacha) immediately following at St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church, 6306 Broadview Road, Parma, OH 44129.
