Ida May Ruth Hammond (nee Heinl), age 90, of Hinckley, beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and dear friend, passed away on Wednesday, February 17th, at Parkside Villa. She was a member of Richfield United Church of Christ. Ida May was a kindhearted person who cherished her family and her relationship with God. She never missed an opportunity to travel, attend church, or gather with family and friends. She always had a way of making everyone in the family feel special and she will be sadly missed by everyone whose life she has touched. Ida May was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Orvan Hammond, brother, Donald Heinl, parents, Otto and Ida Heinl. Survived by her daughter, Melanie Moor (Kathrynn Lyle) of Seattle, son, Gregory Hammond (Jan Mokris) of North Royalton, son, Kenneth Hammond (Connie Hammond) of Atlanta, grandchildren, Caleb and Silas Hammond of Atlanta, and many beloved nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 23rd, from 11:00 - 1:00 at the Donald A. Faulhaber Funeral Home, 7915 Broadview Road, (at Sprague). The service will be held at 1:00, with Ida May’s nephew, Paul Heinl and Rev. King officiating. MASKS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING WILL BE OBSERVED. Interment will follow immediately at Fairview Cemetery. May God watch over you Mom until we meet again...
