Guadalupe Abood

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Guadalupe Abood, who left this world on July 7, 2024 at 9:50 am after a courageous battle with Lymphoma.

Guadalupe Abood was of Lebanese descent but was born in Mexico City, Mexico on December 11, 1945. She was a true master of hospitality and a gifted cook who welcomed everyone into her home by pouring her love into every dish she made.

Guadalupe was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother who brought joy and warmth to all who knew her. She was a pillar of strength and a source of endless love and support for her family and friends. Her generosity, kind heart, and infectious laughter touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Guadalupe is survived by and will be deeply missed by her husband, Karim Abood; children, Kay (Bridget) Abood and Kathy (Bob Kozak);  grandchildren, Rebecca Josselson, Joseph Josselson, Daniel Josselson, and Abby Abood; her brother Amado Mina; and many other family members and friends. Her memory will forever be cherished and her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved her. May she rest in peace, in the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

All are welcome to attend a short graveside service at Brooklyn Heights Cemetery, 4700 Broadview Road, Cleveland, 44109 this Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at 1:00 pm. Please meet at the Broadview Road entrance at 12:45 pm.
