Grace Hauser

Grace Hauser, age 98 passed away April 2, 2023.  Grace was born on June 11, 1924, daughter of Gertrude and Carl Kinstler.  She was the sister of Barbara Pargeon and Joe Kinstler who predeceased her. Grace married Donald Hauser on June 26, 1948 and theirs was a marriage filled with love, strong faith and ideals, and generosity. Grace missed Don so very much after his death in 1988 and surely is rejoicing to be reunited with him.

Grace is survived by daughter Gretchen, son Eric and his wife Ann, daughter Lisa and her husband John, son Mark and his wife Jane.  Grace has 15 grandchildren, two of whom were waiting to greet her in heaven along with son-in-law Patrick.  Grace has 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Grace’s love for her family was evident in all she did.  This love was manifested in her involvement in her children’s activities and schools as they grew up, her care of grandchildren, and her generosity on special occasions or just when she knew a message of love and encouragement was needed.

Grace’s life of service was not just limited to family.  She volunteered at St. Vincent Charity Hospital in Cleveland for over 10 years, was active in fundraising and other ministries at Assumption parish, and helped out at Regina Health Center once she became a resident there in 2015. Grace was a talented seamstress as well as a store manager at Brecksville JoAnn’s Fabrics for many years.  She was an avid Browns fan and season ticket holder, a crafty card player, and board game strategist.  Hers was a rich and full life that touched so many.  She will be greatly missed.

VISITATION will be Tuesday, April 11 at Assumption Church, 9183 Broadview Road, Broadview Heights at 9:30 am, followed by funeral mass at 11:00 and luncheon at noon. Burial will be at All Saints Cemetery (Northfield); procession from church following luncheon.
