Gary E. Smith

Gary Smith, age 72, of Cleveland, passed away June 20, 2018.  He is survived by his wife Patricia (nee Budzick); step-children Kenneth Florjancic (Vicky), Karen Long (Kevin) and Sheri Boothe (James); Step-sister Carol Filkens (Jim); and many other loved family members.  He was preceded in death  by his father Robert, mother Betty Jane Gecewich (nee Childs), brother Jay (Margaret); and step-father John Gecewich.  Gary was born in Conneaut and his family later moved to the Cleveland area.  He graduated from Maple Hts High School and later was drafted by the  US Army.  After getting his honorable discharge he went to work for the Pepsi-Cola Company where he spent the next 43 years.  Upon retirement, Gary spend his time enjoying his family, watching sports and frequenting his favorite watering holes.  FRIENDS MAY CALL AT THE DONALD A. FAULHABER FUNERAL HOME, 7915 Broadview Road (at Sprague) where a memorial service will be held on Monday, June 25 at 10:00 AM followed by a procession to East Conneaut Cemetery. MEMORIAL GATHERING SUNDAY 4-8 PM AT THE FUNERAL HOME.
