Donald E. George

Donald E. George, age 80, Loving husband of Geraldine for over 54 years. Dear father of Michele (Jeff), Don (Marcia), and Christine (Bryan). Cherished grandfather of Josette, Sophie, Sabrina, Alexander, Ava, and Daniel. Dear brother of Gilbert (Patricia). Dear uncle of Caroline, Peter, and Suzanne. Cousin and friend of many.

Don was well-respected and deeply loved by his family, friends, colleagues, and countless others who knew him. He enjoyed a long, exciting, and successful career in the record business working for Mercury, Casablanca, A&M, IRS, MCA, Polygram, and Interscope Records. After leaving the record business, he transitioned to a marketing career with the House of LaRose (Anheuser-Busch) where he maintained friendships and relationships within the entertainment and business community. He had a saying, "It's not who you know, it's who knows you," and many knew him as a genuine friend with a kind heart and always having a story to tell. He also proudly served in the Ohio National Guard from 1964 to 1969.

In light of the pandemic, in-person services will be private, but will be broadcast for friends and family via Facebook Live from Holy Trinity Orthodox Church - Parma Ohio ( https://www.holy-trin.org ) on Tuesday, FEBRUARY 9th at 10:00 AM followed immediately by the burial at St. Theodosius Cemetery. After the service broadcast, tune into Cleveland music radio stations, and enjoy many songs Don George helped bring to the Cleveland music scene.
