Demetrios "Jim" Savaidis
November 1, 1945 — January 30, 2022
Demetrios (Jim) Savaidis, age 76, passed away on January 30, 2022, after a courageous battle due to an illness. Son of Eleonora Demetriades (deceased) and Antonios Pilianidisz (deceased). Brother Tony (deceased) and sister Toula. Loving husband to Elmina (Lilley) for over 50 years. Devoted and caring father of Nora Schroeter (David), Anna Sullivan (Douglas), Tony Savaidis and Stacy Harrell (Allyson). Cherished Papou of David, Ryan, Marissa, Matthew, Garrett, Alayna, Bladen and Raygan. Beloved brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle, cousin and a wonderful friend to so many.
Jim was a simple man. Always saying he was one of the richest men in the world because he had the unconditional love and respect from his family and friends. One of his greatest hobbies was making Greek pastries. His family will continue Papou's Pastries in his honor.
He will be missed beyond measure by so many, especially by his wife, children and grandchildren.
His family is having a memorial service at the Donald A. Faulhaber Funeral Home, 7915 Broadview Rd. (at Sprague), Broadview Hts. Ohio. on Feb. 13, 2022 at 4:30 PM. Visitation will take place from 2:00 PM until time of service.
