David P Austin, Jr.

David “Dave” Austin, Jr., age 83, was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He passed away having lived a full and joyous life, cherished by many.

Dave was the loving husband of Susan (nee Zwolinski) for an incredible 63 years. Their enduring love and companionship were a testament to their unwavering commitment to each other.

As a father, Dave was deeply devoted to his children: Ronald Scott (deceased), Michael David (deceased), Theresa Lynn, Phillip John (Emily), and Daniel David (Jenny). He was a cherished grandfather to nine grandchildren and a proud great-grandfather to four great-grandchildren.

Dave’s family was the center of his world, and he also shared a close bond with his dear brothers Tom and Chuck, both of whom have passed away. An uncle and friend to many, Dave's kindness and sense of humor left a lasting impact on everyone he met.

In his professional life, Dave was a skilled tool and die maker, who dedicated many years to his craft before retiring. His talents and work ethic were exemplary, and he took great pride in his achievements.

Outside of work, Dave had a passion for traveling and cruising, always eager to explore new places and create lasting memories with his loved ones. His love for building puzzles reflected his patience and creativity, qualities that were evident in every aspect of his life.

Dave was a hobbyist at heart, with an array of interests that kept him engaged and happy. He was also known for his infectious sense of humor, always ready with a joke to brighten someone’s day. His laughter and lighthearted spirit will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

David “Dave” Austin, Jr. will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, laughter, and dedication will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 10:00 am at St. Victor Church, 3435 Everett Road, Richfield, Ohio.

Interment West Richfield Cemetery.
