Clarettta N. Wheeler

Claretta Herren Wheeler, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on January 1, 2025, at the age of 89. She was born on March 5, 1935, in Cherokee, Oklahoma, and was raised in the heart of the Oklahoma countryside before spending most of her life in California.

Claretta is now reunited with her cherished husband of 55 years, Harvey (Bud) Wheeler, who preceded her in death. Together, they built a life full of love, laughter, and faith. Claretta's family was her greatest joy, and she devoted her life to them. Her son Jamie predeceased her. Claretta is survived by her son Michael (Polly) and her daughter Gwen (Tom), as well as 7 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild, who were the light of her life. Her best friend Betty Welker also survives her.

A woman of boundless love and kindness, Claretta was a homemaker, a dedicated salesperson, and an entrepreneur. She had an undeniable gift for connecting with others and treated every person she met as family. Her home was always a place of warmth, where there was never a bad word spoken, and everyone was welcome. Claretta was a devout Christian, and her faith and generosity of spirit touched the lives of many.

Claretta will be remembered for her enduring love, unwavering strength, and the kindness she showed to all. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were touched by her radiant spirit.

A celebration of Claretta’s life will be held at a future date, details of which will be shared with loved ones.

May she rest in peace, reunited with the love of her life, and forever in the arms of our Lord.
