Carolyn A Prince

Carolyn Adele Prince passed away on March 13th, 2023 at the age of 64. She ultimately succumbed to the devastating effects of her lifelong fight with mental illness, and is finally at peace. She is now reunited with her husband Gary who went to his rest two years prior.

Carolyn was born in Cleveland, OH on March 3rd, 1959 to Frank and Yolanda Alexander. She graduated from Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School and the Cuyahoga Valley Career Center in 1977. She is survived by her two daughters Maria Kolodziej (Jason), and Christine Madden (Steven). She was the very proud grandmother of Marcella and Macey Kolodziej, and Christan Madden who were the joy of her life.

As the youngest of three daughters, she was the adored “baby”of her surviving older sisters Anita Chapple (Bob) and Mary Jo Robson (Mike). She worked alongside her brother-in-law, Ken Prince, for over 25 years as his very capable office manager at National Power Equipment. She will also be remembered affectionately by her three nieces and three nephews always.

Carolyn’s legacy is one of love, family, and food! Her happiest times were spent in the kitchen baking cookies with grandchildren or with her sisters or daughters making sauce and meatballs.  Nothing brought her more joy than sitting around a table sharing fellowship, laughter and the food she prepared for her loved ones.

The family will be receiving fellow mourners on Tuesday, March 21st at Donald A. Faulhaber Funeral Home, 7915 Broadview Road (at Sprague)  from 4pm-8pm. They will welcome words of remembrance and farewell from anyone who wishes to share them at seven o'clock that evening.

A funeral mass will be held for Carolyn the following morning, Wednesday March 22nd, at 10:00 am at St. Basil Church, 8700 Brecksville Road, Brecksville. A reception will be held immediately after mass for all who wish to attend.
