Brian Lewellyn Cleveland, age 63, of Broadview Heights, Ohio, passed away, Monday, January 11, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents Dean and Barbara (Lewellyn) Cleveland, brother David Cleveland Sr. and stepmother Carolyn Hanover. He is survived by his sister-in-law Sharon (Sonnhalter) Cleveland, nephew David Cleveland Jr. and niece Sarah Bogner and her husband Dave. Great uncle to Elise and Madeline Bogner. Brian was born January 11, 1958. He graduated from Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School in 1977. Brian worked in the dietary department at Southwest General Hospital for over 30 years. Brian loved dogs, especially Boston Terriers, and had a number of pets throughout his life including Brandy, Barry, Barney, Buster and Barney Blue. He loved visiting casinos and could always be found at the slot machines. He also enjoyed traveling, including spending time at his family lake home in Catawba Island, OH, lounging on a raft in a pool in Florida and visiting Wheeling, WV, the hometown of his mother. Brian was a kind and generous soul. He was cared for and loved by many family and friends. Brian will be laid to rest alongside his family in West Virginia. In light of the pandemic, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the Cleveland Animal Protective League.
