Branislav (Branko) Frank Lukež was born in Ljubljana, Slovenia on August 15, 1925 to Rudolph and Marija (Moze) Lukež. He had three loving siblings (all deceased), sister Vlasta Klemencic, and brothers Rudolph and Frank.The Lukež family fled communist Yugoslavia in 1945. He lived in refugee camps in Austria before attending the University of Padua, Italy. In 1950, he immigrated to Cleveland, Ohio. In 1955 he graduated from Ohio State with a business degree. Thereafter he joined the BF Goodrich Chemical Company and worked there for over 30 years in international sales.In 1957 he married Eleonor Waldchen (deceased) in Bamberg, Germany. They had three children; Paul (Boston, MA), Caroline (North Royalton, OH) and Frank (deceased).He was blessed with exceptional language skills and spoke seven languages fluently (Slovenian, Serbo-Croatian, German, Italian, Spanish, French, and English). He also studied Greek and Latin. He traveled around the world throughout his career. During his tenure at BF Goodrich, he spent ten years in Europe (Germany and Holland) before returning to the Cleveland in 1978.He is survived by his loving family (Caroline Lukez Byrne, James Byrne, Katie Byrne, Kristen Byrne of North Royalton, OH) and (Paul Lukez, Sally Lukez, Alex Lukez, and Stephanie Lukez of Lexington, MA).He is survived by nieces, Mary Jane, Christina, Margaret, and Elizabeth; and nephews, Frank, Rudy, Andre, and John.His sense of adventure, humor, and ever-present smile will be missed by his family, friends and colleagues. He awaits his joyful re-union with the love of his life, Eleonor Waldchen Lukez.Friends may call at the DONALD A.
