Dean F Haberkost

Dean F. Haberkost, age 90, was born in Akron, Ohio to the son of Carl and Iva Haberkost (both deceased). He was a graduate of the College of Engineering, OSU, served as an officer in USN in the Philippines on PT Boats. Dean was retired from Shell Chemical Co. in Houston in 1977, having been with them for 25 years in research, sales and training new sales personnel. Former employee of BF Goodrich in Akron, OH. Dean has been very active in serving youth as scouting leader, little league baseball, and church youth counselor. He was also active in retirement with Meals on Wheels, AARP, Kiwanis Club of Brevard, NC and member of First United Methodist Church of Brevard, NC. Beloved husband of Joyce (nee Goldwood) for 67 years. Dear father of Richard (Gayle) of Hockessin, DE, Donald (Susan) of Aiken, SC., Deanna (Jim-deceased) Gartman of Broadview Heights, OH, Deborah (Neal) Mulholand of Benicia, CA and Denise (Jerry-deceased) Wagner of Huntsville, AR. Grandfather of 9. Great grandfather of 4. Brother of Ruth Estep and Evelyn (deceased).
