Elizabeth F Koeth

Elizabeth F. Koeth (nee Hofstetter), age 87, of Broadview Heights, passed away June 19, 2010. She was born in Cleveland, OH and was a homemaker and member of St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church. Beloved wife of Alphonse J. Mother of Claudia Sarcyk (Skip), Rosemary Wensinger (Don), Teresa Steven (John), Laura Schlaff (Nick), Jason Koeth (Cindy), Julie Coleman (Jeff), Fran Richards (Bob), and Mary Koeth. Grandmother of 23, great grandmother of 11. Sister of Marie Tien (dec), Louis Hofstetter, Christine Culley, Helen Cole, Rosemary Fahler, Aggie Rice, Violet Ridgeway, Albert Hofstetter, and Jan Nemecek. On April 27, 1923, Elizabeth was born to Veronica and Louis Hofstetter. She grew up with her nine siblings on a farm in Lodi. She was a 1941 graduate of Chatham High School and moved to Cleveland to attend beautician school. Her first purchase after becoming employed was a great fur coat which she has to this day. After WWII, Elizabeth and Alphonse met at a dance in March, , then danced at their wedding in August 1947. Elizabeth was a devoted parishoner and volunteer at Assumption, Sacred Heart, St. Peregrine and St. Therese. She is no home. FRIENDS MAY CALL AT THE DONALD A. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Family suggests contributions to St. Therese of the Child Jesus.
