Kenneth D Marshall

Kenneth D. Marshall, 75, of Broadview Heights, passed away on Tuesday, November 15. Beloved husband to Carole (nee Young). Stepfather to Peter Brown (Stefanie) and Betsy Tinsley (Jeff). Grandfather to Alex, Matt and Maggie Brown and Will and Ben Tinsley. Ken was a member of the Broadview Height Lions Club for 40 years. He served in nearly all of the club offices, including District Treasurer, District Governor and District Trustee for the Ohio Lions Eye Research Foundation. Ken was the club’s first member to be recognized as a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow. He was a founder of Bloodview Haunted House, which enabled donations in excess of $2.5 million to the community, including to South Hills Lend-A-Hand. Ken was born in Detroit and had an MS in physics and an MBA in management from Michigan State University. He worked for the B.F. Goodrich Company in tire research for 23 years. He has over 30 publications including one in Scientific American on the Acoustics of Harpsichords, and he authored a chapter of the book, The Pneumatic Tire. An avid sailor, Ken was a longtime member of Edgewater Yacht Club.Served in the US Navy In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Broadview Heights Lions Club, 6477 Mill Road, Broadview Heights, OH 44147.
