SHELDON REX HARPER born April 7, 1921 in Frenchton, Upshur County, West Virginia. Died July 23, 2016 in Brecksville, OH. Beloved husband of Juanita (nee Glisson) from 1948 until her death in 2000. Devoted partner of Madge "Claudia" Lee since 2001. Awesome father to Rex, Shelley (Neil), Ziegman, Daniel, and Matthew (Shirley). Amazing grandfather to Bryan, Garett, James, Mary Beth, Angela, Matthew Jr, and Steven. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Graduated from E. Fairmount High School in 1939 in Fairmount, WV. Graduated Hammel Business University in 1940 in Akron, OH. Secretarial and clerical job at Goodyear Aircraft Corp. in Akron, OH. Served in Army Air Corp 1942-1946, Army Airways Communication System stationed at Bolling Field in Washington D. C., Ashville, NC, Sheppard Field, TX. He earned a BA degree in Journalism (Lantern Editor 1950) at The Ohio State University (1946-1950). Sales promotion manager, Goodyear Industrial Rubber Products, Akron 1950-1953. Advertising Manager at True Temper Corp., in Cleveland 1953-1966. Advertising writer/account executive at Mills Hall Walborn Advertising Agency in Cleveland, OH 1966-1968 and 1970-1982. Advertising manager at Berkeley & CO. in Spirit Lake, Iowa 1968-1970. Advertising manager at Cuyahoga Savings, Cleveland, 1983-1986. Freelance writer 1986-1994. Published news- letter for his 1939 classmates of E. Fairmount High School, beginning 1989 and 3-4 times a year. Author of "Let's Romp in the Field of Words", published on his 90th birthday.
