Clayton Charles Yuncker

Clayton Charles Yuncker, age 91, began a new journey on May 10, 2015. Beloved husband of Blue (nee Booth). Cherished and loving father of Stacy (Paul), Krag George (deceased) (Mainah), and Eric John (deceased). Treasured grandfather of Michelle (Akram), Peter (Beauty), John Clayton, Taylor, and Michael. Special grandfather of Dieter and Stacey. Great grandfather of Luther, Nisim, and Michael. Beloved brother of Patricia, Uncle and Great Uncle to Kris and many others. Step-father of Michael and Shawn (Errol). Special friend to Nancy and Claude, Jay, Tim, and Jack. Clayton was a proud veteran of the US Army who served in France during WWII. He was a man of many interests who never lost his sense of curiosity about the world or people. He was a gunsmith, artist, builder, pilot, hunter, fisherman, golfer, marksman, photographer, furniture-maker, gardener, and experimental cook. He had a deep love of wildlife, history, and travel, but most of all people. A veteran of many safaris, he never lost his desire to explore. He will be remembered most for his unique ability to put the past in its place and make an ordinary moment extraordinarily memorable because of his wonderful sense of humor. For Clayton, one hello was never enough, and for us, one goodbye is too many. We will miss him forever. The family would like to extend its deepest gratitude to Seasons of Life Hospice for the wonderful support and care of Clayton and those who loved him. A special celebration of Clayton’s life will be held at a later date.
