Richard J. Rauch

Richard J. "Big Dick" Rauch, 90 of Richfield, OH courageously fought his personal battle with kidney disease and passed away peacefully on December 18, 2014. He was born on March 6, 1924 in Richfield, Ohio. He worked as a Foreman for East Ohio Gas Co. for 47 years Dick was an Army Veteran of WWII, A founding member and past Commander of AMVETS Post 176 Richfield Ohio. He was a previous Board Member of the Veterans Service Commission of Summit County. A member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion Post 0473, The Masons, and Bath Richfield Kiwanis. He loved spending his Summers at his Cabin in Canada with his wife Jean along with his Family and Friends. Dick and Jean both loved to travel and saw many beautiful and exotic places together. Dick was an avid Outdoorsman and a lifetime member of the NRA. He enjoyed all types of tame and wild animals which he raised at his home and on his farm in Southern Ohio. He will be remembered by his Family and Friends as an unselfish and caring spirit and a true patriot of this United States of America. Dick was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Jean Bissell Rauch. He is survived by his son Scott (Kim) Rauch, and daughters Sheri (Dan) Rauch Yates, and Tami (George) Rauch Letosky. His Grandchildren Tara (James) Yates Dinsmore, Andrew Yates, Samantha Rauch, Carly Rauch, Shauna Opalach, George A. Letosky, Joseph C. Letosky, and his great grandchildren Emily Dinsmore, Ellie Dinsmore, Noah Dinsmore, Adrianna Rauch, Alyssa Rauch, Ella Letosky, Georgie Letosky, MaryJo Letosky, and Samantha Letosky.
