Lloyd R. Cassidy, 91, of Brooklyn Heights, passed away peacefully May 1, 2014. Preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Mary and grandson Bobby. Retired member of the Union of Operating Engineers where he was a mechanic, working 27 years at W.T. Walsh Equipment Company. Member of the US Army Air Corps where he served in WWII and the Korean War. Charter member of the Brooklyn Heights Fire Dept, where he was a captain at the time of his retirement. Lifelong member of Pearl Road United Methodist Church. Survived by his children, Wayne (Becky), Nancy (Mickey) Felice, Bob (Toni), and Janet (Tom) Majercik. Grandfather of Kelly (Mike) Sisco, Katie (fiancee Aaron Farmer), Ben (Jamie), Tom (Jessica) Majercik, Jr., Stephanie Majercik, Patrick Majercik, Meghan Majercik, David Majercik, Sheri (Kenny) Strebelow and Stacy Cassidy. Great grandfather of Gavin and Brynn Strebelow. Also survived by brother Don (Anita) Cassidy. Family suggests contributions to Pearl Road United Methodist Church, 4200 Pearl Road, Cleveland, 44109. SERVICES WILL BE HELD ON MONDAY, MAY 5 at 3:30 PM at Pearl Road United Methodist Church. VISITATION AT THE CHURCH ON MONDAY FROM 2:00 pm until time of service. Interment Foote Family Cemetery.
