Branko Solic, age 88, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 9 at Holy Family
Hospice surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Kanjani (Village) Dalmatia on
February 6, 1926. The son of Ilija and Kata Vukusic Solic. He was the beloved husband
for 62 years of Irene (nee Surowiecki) whom he married on March 1, 1952 in France.
Loving father of Tomislav “Toma” ( Wendy), Slobodan “Sam”, Lydia, Branko, Jr., John,
and Lazar. Devoted grandfather of Joey, Samantha and Kyle and many nieces and
nephews. He is survived by one sister in Serbia. He was preceded in death by five sisters
and two brothers of Serbia and one brother of Hermitage, PA. He was educated in
Dalmatia. Branko Solic served with the Chetniks Army during WWII. and belonged to
Pokret Srpski Cetnika. He was a member of St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Cathedral in
Parma, OH. FRIENDS MAY CALL AT THE DONALD A. FAULHABER FUNERAL HOME, 7915 Broadview Road (at Sprague) where services will be held on Friday, February 14 at 11 AM and at St. Sava Serbian Ortthodox Cathedral, 6306 Broadview Road at 11:30 AM. V. Rev. Zivojin Jakovljevic officiating. Interment Monastery Marcha Serbian Orthodox Cemetery. POMEN Thursday 8:15 PM. VISITING HOURS THURSDAY 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
