Vaso Vukelic

Vaso Vukelic, 64, passed away on August 29, 2013. Born in the former Yugoslavia
(Vukelici, Banija) in 1948, Vaso had been an Akron area resident since 1972. He attended St. Demetrius Serbian Orthodox Church. Vaso retired from Chrysler (Twinsburg Stamping Plant) in 2008 where he worked as a machine repairman for 28 years. He enjoyed his final days playing chess with his friend, Milan. Vaso was preceded in death by his parents Dragan and Smiljana (Akik) Vukelic and step-brother Milan “Baca”. He is survived by his beloved wife Sanja of Norton,; ex-wife, Milka of Wadsworth; son Dragan of Norton; daughter Mira (Dragoslav) Karac of North Royalton; step-daughter Jelena (Branislav) Mihajlovic of Akron; grandchildren Daniel and Viktoria Karac; brothers Mile (Mira) of Serbia and Ljuban (Marta) of Slovenia; sister Mira (Veselin) of Serbia as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church, 2151 W. Wallings Road at 12:15 PM/ V. Rev. Mijoljub Matic officiating. Interment St. Sava Cemetery. VISITING HOURS MONDAY 5-8 PM.
