Joyce Violet Crofoot

Joyce Violet Crofoot (nee Isaksen), age 79, passed away May 2nd, 2012 surrounded by her loving family, after a brave fight with ALS. Born May 20th, 1932 in Maine, she spent most of her life living in Northeast Ohio. Joyce is survived by her treasured husband of 60 years, Dick Crofoot, and her children Laurie (Jim), Jeff (Annmarie), Chip (Mary), and Amy (Todd); as well as seven grandchildren, Jesse, Katie, Michael, Kevin, Madison, Patrick, Jordan; and two great-grandchildren, Lucy and Levi. A woman of great warmth and grace, Joyce dedicated her life to raising her family, providing constant support and unconditional love. She was active in her church and community, and a friend to many. A keen sense of adventure led Joyce to many pursuits, including traveling with her husband and friends, Girl Scout leadership, and boating on Lake Erie. A memorial service will be held at Richfield United Church of Christ on Tuesday, May 8th at 3pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Richfield United Church of Christ.The family wishes to thank the wonderful nurses, neighbors, and friends who have provided care and support during this time.
